It was just a channel, right?
It was never just a channel. It was never just a social experiment. It was a deal. The success of a channel in exchange for the channel to be primarily dedicated to spreading the message of Unus Annus.
Besides the deal being broken (see Unus Mortem’s lore for more information), Ethan didn’t mind having otherworldly friends. In fact, he had gotten quite close to Unus. They were so close to the point where Unus offered to show Ethan around their dimension called The Spiral Dimension. As always, Ethan got curious and kind of wandered off one day when he swung by alone, via a black and white spiral portal in his closet, hidden behind his clothes.
He made his way to what seemed like a void. It was grayish white and the walls were riddled with clocks. This was the void of Unus and Annus’ creator, The Clock. There, he found a room with a line protruding from the wall that seemed infinitely long with a keyboard on a base. Ethan curiously typed his full name in, and the line revealed an infinite number of alternate universes. Many mirrored exactly what he was doing in that moment, but a lot of them were also different. He looked at several, including some where he became an olympic gymnast and another where he was a critically acclaimed film director. One in particular piqued his interest. He tapped into it, watching himself on a screen. This other version of himself had long lengths of strings on his arms. Light blue on the bicep, yellow on the forearm, and a bright pink on the wrist. The left arm matched the right arm.
This version of Ethan stumbled and drunkenly slurred his words. As he lifted his sleeves, scars showed up, mainly several clustered together as if he kept going at it. They seemed to be done in the direction towards the strings.
An Unus from another dimension, Unus Mori, had entered the room to reprimand the other by tugging at the strings. Unus Mori was someone that Ethan had heard about and even talked to a few times, but mainly stayed close to Unus Mortem because they were his counterpart, specifically.
The other version of him drunkenly cried and yelled at Mori, begging the god to kill him. He wanted to die. He was miserable and sleepless ever since he was strung up. It was incredibly hard to watch, so tearfully, Ethan exited and left the dimension completely.
The thought of his suicidal, alcoholic self kept him up at night, but he didn’t dare tell anybody, not even Unus Mori. As a result of seeing this alternate him, he begun to have terrible nightmares that were persistent. They wouldn’t go away, no matter what over the counter sleep medicines he used. He tried everything, but eventually had to come clean about what he saw to his friendly counterpart. Mortem furiously confronted their clone, and eventually killed the other Ethan with the kiss of death to give the original Ethan some peace.
However, this did not make Unus Mori happy as you can imagine. To avoid further conflict, Ethan also came clean about the nightmares. Mori explained that it was their subconscious trying to get what they wanted: a shiny new puppet.
Unus Mortem strongly advised Ethan to not give in, but he was desperate to get rid of the nightmares. He agreed to be a puppet. With that, strings came about. Royal blue on the bicep, yellow on the forearm, and red on the wrist. The second arm matched.
To no surprise, the nightmares went away, but he fell into a downward spiral (no pun intended) of poor drinking habits, which he tried to curb by learning how to fight with Tempus Mortemus. It worked for the most part, but he got so drunk one day that he asked to die, a fate he swore not to follow.
Unus Mori’s partner, Annus Aeternum, in an act of jealousy, stabbed Ethan in the chest, killing him almost instantly.
He was thankfully resurrected by several people in the Spiral Dimension, including Unus Mortem, Tempus, and even Mark had a chance to help bring his friend back. When Ethan returned, he had gained the ability to teleport via his own swirly portals, and manipulation of his strings like vines to defend himself.
Also, three small chunks of his hair on the left side of his head changed. They went from brown to glowing shades of red, yellow, and blue. So now, he can emit light in dark places. The color of the strands can also change depending on his mood. Red for anger, yellow for overly happy, and blue for sad. If all three are present, it means that he’s neutral or not angry/sad/happy enough to warrant a change in the hair.
Being part-deity and a human puppet was not something that Ethan expected to happen in his life, but it’s not like he regrets it. Sure, he wishes that he could go back to being normal again, but with literal gods as friends, what even is normal?

OTHER INFORMATION.
This portrayal of Ethan is multiship and multiverse.
I write descriptively in third person.
Lewd is only done with adults 18+ over on @eefsecrets with chemistry. I (Simon) will not write lewd with you if you are underaged, want porn without a plot, or are plain disgusting to my character. I no longer post seductive sundays or suggestive content on main (@BLVCKNAlLS), though I do make suggestive jokes.
GENERAL ROLEPLAY DISCLAIMER
While I feel like I've done quite a good job with characterizing Ethan, I know that he's a real person and a real content creator with boundaries. Some content creators aren't okay with being written (if they've addressed that), and that's totally okay. However, Ethan has publicly said before that he knows that people roleplay as him and that it is okay.
I consider myself to be very friendly, so please don't be afraid to reach out to ask to write. Don't let my fancy formatting and layouts drive you away! I promise that I don't bite! However, I do prefer writers that match descriptiveness.
